A Wollongong tradesman who has ‘never even won a meat tray’ was today thrilled to discover he won $200,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The regional New South Wales resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1331, drawn Wednesday 29 May 2019.
As well as winning the guaranteed 1st Prize, the man also won a consolation prize of $1,000, bolstering his total win to $201,000.
Sharing his joy with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the happy man revealed his win had come as a shock.
“Wow!” he laughed.
“I did not expect this at all. This is bloody awesome!
“I’ve never even won a meat tray! I’ve never won anything!
“What a good time!
“This has made my day. It’s unbelievable!”
The hardworking man said it would be difficult to concentrate at work after discovering he’d won the 1st Prize.
“God I want to walk off the job right now and take the rest of the day off,” he declared.
“It’s going to be hard to concentrate. I might take a sickie tomorrow.
“It sure makes the day easier though.”
When asked how he planned to use his prize, the tradesman said he had a few ideas.
“I think I will take my wife out for a nice dinner this weekend to celebrate,” he said.
“Then I’m going to buy myself a few new toys and put some on the mortgage.”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two consecutive numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $68.44 million for draw 1332 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.28 for draw 10291.
