The Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation today received a $50,000 donation from The Lott to support its work providing medical equipment, essential support services and life-saving research to the hospital.

The latest donation continues The Lott’s commitment to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation and follows a similiar donation in December 2019, which helped fund the new Home Equipment Centre at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation Chief Executive Officer Jane Scotcher said the donation would help the Foundation achieve its mission to ensure South Australian families had the best access to medical care, facilities and support service.

“It has been a very challenging year for everyone, especially for children in hospital and their families,” she said.

“We are so pleased to help make their lives a little brighter and support the brilliant care of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

“We can only do what we do because of the generosity of individual donors and corporate partners like The Lott.

“We are grateful to The Lott for helping our mission become a reality and are thankful for their continued support of the Foundation’s work with this generous new donation.”

The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said it was fantastic to be able to continue Australia’s official lotteries’ support of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“We are thrilled to be able to continue our partnership with the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation and the inspiring work they do to ensure South Australian families are supported during a time when they need it most,” she said.

“From improving the environment in the hospital, to providing essential medical equipment and funding life-saving research, the Foundation does amazing work to support the South Australian community.

“We are extremely proud to be able to contribute in a small way to making that possible.”

The home of Australia’s Official Lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2020, Australia’s Official Lotteries contributed more than $1.4 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
