A Wondunna man is on the cusp of owning his first home and giving away the rental life forever after winning a $100,000 top prize on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The top prize winning $5 20X The Cash Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at newsXpress Eli Waters, Shop 23, Eli Waters Shopping Centre, 2 Ibis Boulevard, Eli Waters.
Confirming his incredible instant win with an official from The Lott this morning, the elated man said he and his partner didn’t believe what they were seeing when he scratched his winning ticket.
“We buy a couple of Instant Scratch-Its tickets each week and will scratch away together on a Friday night or Saturday morning,” he said.
“It’s a little bit of fun for us but we never expect to win anything more than a free ticket or few dollars.
“I did a double take when I scratched the winning ticket and saw that I’d won $100,000!
“My partner didn’t believe me at first, but she was speechless when I made her check the ticket too.
“It’s life-changing, that’s the only way to describe it.
“I’ve rented my entire life so this will win will go towards the deposit on my first home.
“It’s an amazing feeling to know I won’t have to rent a home anymore and can own one for my family.
