Woodridge woman ready for Christmas with $100,000 Instant Scratch-Its win!

A Woodridge woman is in the mood to celebrate after winning one of the top prizes of $100,000 on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

The ecstatic mum bought her winning $5 Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket at AUR Express Woodridge, Shop 5, 153-163 Smith Road, Woodridge.

Speaking to a Golden Casket official this morning to claim her prize, she explained she was at home when she scratched the ticket and was absolutely delighted when she initially, but mistakenly, thought she’d won a smaller prize.

“I thought it was $10,000 then I showed my friend and she said it was $100,000,” the winner revealed.

In complete shock, squeals of delight filled the home when she discovered her prize was in fact tenfold.

The windfall has come at a perfect time for the busy mum who is excited to spoil her family during the festive season.

“I’d been hoping for a pot of gold,” she exclaimed.

“A good Christmas is definitely coming our way.”

AUR Express Woodridge team member Lorraine Hannequin said it had been her dream to sell a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

“I hardly slept last night I was so excited,” she laughed with delight.

“I think I may have been more excited than the prize winner.”

Last financial year, there were 158 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across the Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $11.28 million.

The latest range of Instant Scratch-Its tickets are available at Golden Casket outlets.
