A Moonta man has had his day completely flipped on its head in the best way possible after realising he had scored $20,000 a month for the next 20 years in Set for Life.
The South Australian resident held the only division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 3215, drawn Saturday 25 May 2024. The gleeful man can look forward to $4.8 million paid in instalments of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.
“You’re kidding me?” he laughed when an official from The Lott revealed the life-changing news.
“You beauty! Good on ya, mate!
“I’m starting to get really excited. I’m starting to shake!
“I have plenty of children and grandchildren so this will go to great use.
“Can you repeat it again?
“Twenty thousand dollars a month for the next 20 years! Four point eight million dollars overall?! Wow.
“Thank you kindly! I’m very happy with that.
“We’re also in need of a new car so maybe we’ll do that too.
“What great news.”
His winning 3-game QuickPick entry was purchased from Newbery Chemist, 24 Graves Street, Kadina.
The Newbery Chemist team said they couldn’t be happier for the winner and wished them all the best with their prize.
The winning numbers in Set for Life draw 3215 on Saturday 25 May 2024 were 17, 39, 41, 13, 42, 26 and 22, while the supplementary numbers were 1 and 43.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 3215 – one in South Australia.
This marks the 129th Set for Life division one winner nationally since the game began and the fourth Set for Life division one winner so far this calendar year.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 373 so far in FY24, including 27 won by SA Lotteries customers.
In 2023, there were 18 Set for Life division one winners across Australia who will receive $86.4 million during the next 20 years.
By 31 December 2023, more than $116.18 million in monthly payments of $20,000 had been paid to the 125 Set for Life division one winners across Australia.
