A semi-retired man from Tweed Heads couldn’t contain his delight last night in discovering he was suddenly $100,000 richer from the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The local resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10253, drawn on Thursday 25 October 2018.
In addition to winning 1st Prize, the man’s entry also scored a $1,000 consolation prize.
“You little beauty!” the winner exclaimed when his win was confirmed by a NSW Lotteries official yesterday evening.
“This is a really good phone call to receive.
“It’s great news. Unbelievable!
“I don’t think the smile on my face could get any bigger.”
When asked how he might spend his $100,000 windfall, the regular Lucky Lotteries player had no hesitation.
“It’s come at a really good time. This will help us find a new home for the family,” he declared.
“It’s just terrific!”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two consecutive numbers at Tweed Mall News, Shop 2, Centro on Tweed, 6 Wharf Street, Tweed Heads.
Tweed Mall News owner Graeme Hooley said the win was also a cause for celebration in his outlet.
“This is our first Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize since we took over the store in 2015,” he explained.
“We had a good chuckle when we saw we had sold that winning entry and I’ve had fun telling customers the good news this morning.
“We’ve had a few wins at our other store, Tweed City News, so it’s great to see the luck spread to this store too.
“We wish our winner all the best with their prize.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $24.52 million for draw 1149 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.02 million for draw 10254.
