A young Cabramatta man in his 20s has had his morning commute to work interrupted by the revelation he is now a millionaire from last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.
The stunned winner held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3929, drawn Wednesday 11 December 2019 and takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.
When a NSW Lotteries official made contact with the Sydney man to confirm the million-dollar news, he was initially sceptical.
However, once he checked his ticket online and saw the six winning numbers in a single game panel, his disbelief turned into celebration.
“Awesome!” he laughed.
“I still can’t quite believe it, but I can see it on my ticket.
“I guess you can say I’m a millionaire now! That will take some getting used to.
“I’ve won smaller prizes before but never anything past three digits.
“I don’t think I’ll be able to focus at work today… or for the next few weeks.”
The happy worker explained he had only begun playing Monday & Wednesday Lotto a month ago.
“I just thought I’d take a chance and that you’ve got to be in it to win it,” he said.
“It’s all still sinking in. I might not believe it’s really true until I see it in my bank account.
“But the first thing I will do is pay off my student debt. After that, who knows! It really will make for a stress-free 2020.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 50-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3929 on Wednesday 11 December 2019 were 3, 22, 8, 41, 4 and 28 while the supplementary numbers were 43 and 12.
Across Australia, there was only one division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3929 – the entry from New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 356 so far this calendar year, including 108 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, there were 88 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won $87 million.
