A young Parramatta mum is contemplating 2020 as a multi-millionaire after checking her Megadraw ticket to discover she’s suddenly more than $2.7 million richer.

The New South Wales player held one of the 11 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto’s $30 Million Megadraw, draw 4011 on Saturday 28 December 2019. Each division one winning entry takes home a prize of $2,727,272.73.

Confirming her prize with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the winner revealed a social media post prompted her to make the life-changing discovery.

“Wow. Just wow!” she cried with happiness.

“What an incredible Christmas present!

“Thank you so much.

“Yesterday I saw on Facebook that there were 11 Megadraw winners and seven were unregistered.

“There’s no way I thought one of those unregistered players could be me!

“But I looked at the winning numbers and then checked my ticket.

“I was incredibly shocked. I couldn’t believe it!

“It certainly hasn’t sunk in. It’s surreal.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy life as a multi-millionaire, the woman said 2020 would be a game changer.

“We have a young family so this has come at an incredible moment in our life,” she explained.

“We will pay off the mortgage and all the bills and then definitely plan plenty more holidays!

“It will take away all the stress! My husband and I will be able to both cut down on work and be able to spend more time with the children.

“It will change our life completely!”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Hilltop Newsagency, 10J Hilltop Road, Merrylands.

Hilltop Newsagency owner Suresh Subramaniamiyer said he was celebrating selling his first division one winning entry.

“Wow! It’s so good. It’s so exciting,” he said.

“We’ve been here seven years and while we’ve sold a few division two winning entries, this is the first division one.

“It’s great to have our first one under our belt and can’t wait to do it again.”

Two Sydney division one prizes remain unclaimed

The second multi-million-dollar winning entry was sold at Queens Square Newsagency, 229 Macquarie Street, Sydney.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Lauren Cooney said anyone who purchased a Saturday Lotto Megadraw entry at either of the outlets should check their ticket today.

“These two winners each take home more than $2.7 million, just imagine how your plans for the new year could change if you discovered you won that prize!” she exclaimed.
