A Coorparoo man is eyeing a new set of wheels after an Instant Scratch-Its he bought using small wins from other tickets delivered him a $100,000 bounty.

His winning $5 Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Nextra Post Office Square, Shop 14, Post Office Square, 280 Queen Street, Brisbane.

“It’s been a surprising few days!” the winning man exclaimed when claiming his prize from The Lott.

“You scratch these things, and you hear of others winning, but you never think it’ll be you.

“Over a period of time, I’d accumulated a few Instant Scratch-Its with small wins on them. So, I went into the newsagency at Post Office Square and got some new tickets. It was a reinvestment of previous winnings.

“I was sitting at home that night and we scratched them. I said, ‘I think I’ve won one hundred thousand dollars!’. I was getting very excited.

“I spent about 20 minutes thinking, ‘is this really happening?’.

“I’ll use this to help the children out, but I’ll also buy myself a new car.

“It’s just wonderful!”

Nextra Post Office Square owners Michael and Jenny Li said they were thrilled to have sold their first top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket since taking over the outlet.

“We finally did it!” Michael exclaimed.

“That’s such great news for our winning customer and we are so excited.

“We hope this is the start of a winning streak for us!”
