A Toowoomba man has confessed his heart was left racing a million miles an hour from the revelation of his $100,000 win in the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The Darling Downs resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10789, drawn Monday 14 August 2023.

As well as winning the 1st Prize of $100,000, the jubilant player also won a $1,000 consolation prize.

The retiree shared he was working in the backyard when an official from The Lott called to reveal the life-enhancing news.

“Oh, goodness me!” he cheered.

“Wow, oh wow. I’m flabbergasted!

“I’m outside my house completing some house chores and I noticed I had a missed call from an unknown number. I let the first phone call ring out and I was close to not answering this one.

“I’m so glad I decided to answer.

“This is the most I’ve ever won. My biggest prize was $40!

“I think I might have to sit down.

“My heart is beating outside of my chest.”

The Queenslander shared the lottery loot would allow him to boost his superannuation.

“I’ll look forward to some very ordinary plans, nothing exciting. But it will definitely be a huge boost,” he shared.

“This will make a great contribution to our super.

“I think I’ll have to go and have a nice lay down and enjoy a celebratory dinner later!”

His winning entry of two consecutive numbers was purchased at Campbells News & Casket, 244 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba.

Campbells News & Casket owner Mark Stevenson said he couldn’t believe his team had sold a 1st Prize-winning entry to a local man.

“It’s wonderful news to start the week and we’re so pleased to hear our newsagency had helped a local resident win an amazing prize of $100,000,” he said.

“We will be celebrating this milestone with all of our customers and there’s no doubt the Toowoomba community will be thrilled to hear we have sold a 1st Prize.

“Congratulations to the winning man and we wish him all the best with his exciting prize. Thank you for supporting Campbells News & Casket.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $6.76 million for draw 1621, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $3.88 million for draw 10790.
