A Nowra man has spent the afternoon distracted at work and dreaming of an early retirement after scoring $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The South Coast resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1437, drawn Thursday 22 August 2019.
A NSW Lotteries official contacted the winner this afternoon to break the news.
“That sounds fantastic!” he exclaimed.
“That’s made my day.
“This all sounds very great! Maybe I’ll be winning the jackpot prize soon as well.”
The winner revealed his surprise windfall had arrived at the perfect time in his life.
“I’ve been thinking about retiring soon so this has just made that decision a lot easier,” he laughed.
“I can’t wait to begin planning my retirement!
“This is fantastic. I’ll certainly be celebrating tonight.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Nowra Mall Paper Shop, Shop 19, Nowra Mall, 52 Kinghorne Street, Nowra.
Nowra Mall Paper Shop employee Kim Horne said it was great to see another big win land in the region.
“It was very exciting when we saw this afternoon we’d sold a 1st Prize winning entry,” she said.
“And it’s even better to know this win has gone to one of our local and regular customers.
“Congratulations to him! We have no doubt he will enjoy his prize.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $94.12 million for draw 1439 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $3.36 million for draw 10307.
