A Peterborough woman has been smiling from ear to ear and thinking about how her plans for 2024 might now change after bagging $50,000 in a recent Keno draw.
The South Australian scored the $50,0000 Keno Spot 8 jackpot in draw 240307 309, drawn Thursday, 7 March 2024.
The winning woman was taken by surprise and left feeling dumbfounded from her unexpected win.
“Thank you so much!” she exclaimed.
“I’m so grateful for this win, it’s truly wonderful.
“I think I checked the winning numbers about 20 or 30 times.
“It was a lot of back and forth.
“I don’t usually win a lot on my tickets. This definitely is my biggest win!”
With $50,000 about to boost her bank account this month, the gleeful woman couldn’t wait to get rid of some bills and live life to the fullest.
“I’ll pay off my bills and put some money aside,” she shared.
“While I want to celebrate this weekend, I have to go to work!
“I’ll do the celebrating next week.
‘Thanks for the phone call!”
Her winning Keno entry was purchased at Peterborough Newsagency, 185 Main Street, Peterborough.
Peterborough Newsagency owner Cathy Woodman said she was incredibly excited to have sold a winning entry worth $50,000 to a local family.

In 2023, there were more than 1.52 million Keno wins across South Australia worth more than $87.5 million. This included 33 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who scored more than $7.44 million.
The Spot 10 prize was won three times during this period, including a $2.3 million prize.
Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 10 prize, a player must match all 10 of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
