A Cheltenham man is dusting off his passport as he dives into the new year after winning a life-changing $880,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The Sydneysider held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4631, drawn Saturday 6 December 2025. Each division one winning entry can look forward to a total prize of $888,814.08.
When an official from The Lott spoke with the winning man, he shared that he had only started playing Saturday Lotto recently.
“Thank you! It’s just amazing,” he said.
“I haven’t even come to terms with it yet. I received your message, and I jumped straight into the app and checked my ticket.
“I’m very much shocked. I did not expect it at all and I’m struggling to process it.
“The first thing I saw was the prize amount, which had the 888 in it, and I just thought that’s a special number! It’s an angel number!
“I’ve only recently started getting tickets. I thought I would just have a go, and I cannot believe my luck.”
When asked how he plans to spend his windfall, the gleeful man wasted no time dreaming of all the adventures he’d go on.
“I’ll definitely be enjoying some overseas travel,” he said.
“More holidays are definitely my number one priority, but I’ll also think about what my future holds and set myself up.
“What an amazing Christmas present. I’m blown away.”
His 50-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4631 on 6 December 2025 were 17, 42, 5, 10, 33 and 45, while the supplementary numbers were 31 and 44.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4631 – three in Victoria, two in New South Wales and one each in Queensland and South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 405 so far in 2025, including 113 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In FY25, Saturday Lotto created 165 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 341 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $420 million.
