A Bairnsdale man thought he was dreaming when he checked his Weekday Windfall ticket last night, only to discover he was wide awake and $1 million richer.
The East Gippsland resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4584, drawn Monday 11 August 2025. He looks forward to a neat $1 million.
The victorious Victorian was beaming with excitement when an official from The Lott called to confirm the thrilling news.
“I still can’t believe it!” he laughed.
“Thank you very much. I didn’t know what to think or do!
“I checked my ticket at 9.30pm last night and honestly, I thought I was dreaming!
“I’ve probably played for three years, and never thought I’d win the big one. I’ve also always gone with random numbers.
“I called my sister right away and she was very happy and excited for me.
“It’s safe to say, I hardly slept last night!
“It’s still sinking in.”
When asked what he planned to do now that he was a newly-crowned millionaire, the gleeful man shared he was looking forward to finally taking a well-earned break.
“I can’t wait to go on a holiday!” he shared.
“I’ll pay off some bills too. The boring stuff.”
His winning 50-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
