A Beecroft man’s holiday has taken an unexpected turn, picking up a $200,000 win in the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Upper North Shore resident held one of the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1560, drawn Tuesday 15 February 2022.
This morning an official from The Lott called the overjoyed man who was completely oblivious to the revelation of his life-enhancing win.
“Friggin’ hell! Is this a joke? Are you joking?” he cheered.
“I can’t believe it! I can’t believe it! I’m in shock. I was wondering why I was receiving so many calls this morning. That’s fantastic!
“I just told my family, and they don’t believe me! I just sent it in the family group chat. They’re saying, ‘Dad, are you joking?’. I’m not one to tell lies, so I’m surprised they don’t believe me!
“I’m on a holiday in Melbourne right now, so it’s hard to prove to them that I’ve won when I’m not at home.
“I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries for a while now. Although I haven’t won much in the past, I’ve always thought of keeping the dream alive!
“This is going to take such a long time to sink in. How unbelievable!
“What a wonderful phone call.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his good fortune, the New South Wales man said he would put it towards house renovations.
“We’re looking at renovating our house! It’s been a long time coming, and wow, this will just give us the best boost,” he said.
His winning entry of 4 consecutive numbers was purchased from Beecroft Place Market Newsagency, Shop 7, Beecroft Place Market, 16-24 Hannah Street, Beecroft. The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $7.25 million for draw 1561, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $7.53 million for draw 10529.
