A couple from Brisbane’s bayside have declared their $1.5 million win in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto has made their month, their year and their life.
The Queensland couple held one of the 13 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4307, drawn 29 October 2022. Each entry scored $1,538,461.54.
“It’s just surreal – the weirdest feeling in the world,” the winning husband exclaimed.
“I quickly looked at my ticket on Saturday night and I thought we’d won a couple of thousand.
“But then I went back and had a look and saw we’d got all the winning numbers.
“We were just walking around dazed after that. I just kept checking the app to make sure it was real.
“It’s amazingly awesome!
“I was supposed to get a ticket into the big Powerball draw last week, but I forgot. I was in a bit of trouble at home so thought I’d grab an entry into this draw.
“We’ll be helping our adult children get their mortgages. Otherwise, we’ll need a bit of time to strategise about what to do next. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
“You’ve made our month, our year, our life!”
The couple’s winning System 8 QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4307 on 29 October 2022 were 7, 9, 42, 6, 22 and 3, while the supplementary numbers were 16 and 13.
Across Australia, there were 13 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4307 – six from Queensland, three from Victoria, two from New South Wales and one each from Tasmania and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 370 so far this calendar year, including 88 won by Golden Casket customers.
