A Brisbane retiree is looking forward to her retirement fund receiving a huge boost, thanks to a $50,000 Instant Scratch-Its win.
The top prize winning $4 Cool Bananas Bingo ticket was purchased at newsXpress The Gap, 21/1000 Waterworks Road, The Gap.
Sharing her joy with an official from The Lott this morning, the regular Instant Scratch-Its player said she was still reeling from her win.
“I was just scratching away, as I usually do,” she began to explain.
“I certainly wasn’t expecting to scratch a big prize but all of a sudden it was right in front of me!
“I couldn’t believe it.
“I went up the road to the newsagency and they confirmed the exciting news for me.
“I was so surprised! It was very exciting.”
With $50,000 about to land in her bank account, the Brisbane woman said it would be the perfect nest egg.
“I am just going to save it for now,” she said.
“Put it in the bank for a rainy day and to enjoy throughout my retirement.”
