A Cairnlea couple have confessed to celebrating with their family all weekend long after discovering they scored a division one prize worth over $515,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The happy winners held one of the 10 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4055, drawn Saturday 30 May 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $502,546.00
As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the couple’s System 8 entry also scored them division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering their total prize to $515,296.90.
Speaking to an official from the Lott this morning, the happy husband revealed he had been playing the same numbers for decades.
“My wife and I have been playing these numbers every week since TattsLotto started!” he declared.
“We were just at home on Sunday morning and my wife checked the numbers. When she told me we’d won I didn’t believe it!
“We called the kids straight over and we celebrated with a couple of drinks. We’ve been celebrating all weekend.
“It’s just something nice to have right now. Everything is bad news at the moment with the virus so it’s just great to have some good news to share!”
When asked how they planned to enjoy their windfall, the happy man confessed he was eyeing off an overseas holiday in the future.
“We’ll share it with our family, but we’ll save a little something for us as well,” he laughed.
“We can’t go overseas at the moment, but we’ll certainly be planning an overseas holiday for the future!”
The regular players, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning System 8 QuickPick entry at Cairnlea News & Lotto, Shop 15, Cairnlea Shopping Centre, 100 Furlong Road, Cairnlea.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4055 on Saturday 30 May 2020 were 19, 3, 25, 22, 44 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 42 and 1.
Across Australia, there were 10 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4055 – three from Queensland, two each from New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia, and one from Tasmania.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 155 so far this calendar year, including 57 won by Tatts customers.
