Four days after the draw, officials from the Lott have called off the search for Geelong’s mystery TattsLotto millionaire after they came forward to claim their $1.2 million prize.

The mystery Victorian player held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4053 on Saturday 23 May 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $1,232,163.59.

The ticket was unregistered, so officials from the Lott had no way of contacting the winner to break the news. Instead, they had to wait for the ticketholder to come forward and claim their prize.

However, how they wish to enjoy their life as a newly-minted millionaire will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

The winning entry was purchased at Highton Lotto, 12 Bellevue Arcade, Highton.

Highton Lotto owner John Hodgson said he was very happy the winner had discovered the life-changing news.

“We are so glad we’ve found the winner!” he exclaimed.

“We were starting to wonder where they were and why they hadn’t checked their ticket.

“We want to thank all of our loyal customers who have been coming in to check their tickets and supporting us during this time.

“We are so happy for our winning customer. We wish them all the happiness in the world.

“We hope they enjoy every moment of their win!”

The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said regardless of how the winner plans to enjoy their windfall, there is no doubt the win would be life-changing.

“While we may never know how our Geelong mystery millionaire plans to spend their TattsLotto windfall, what we do know is that it will have changed their lives forever,” she said.

“Other winners tell us that they use their division one prize to pay off their mortgages, go on long-overdue holidays, buy new cars or caravans and share it with their family.

“They also tell us that there is no nicer feeling than knowing their bank account will balloon by a few extra zeroes and that their future looks brighter and we are sure our latest winner is the same!”

In 2019, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and TattsLotto created 203 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4053 on Saturday 23 May 2020 were 30, 45, 1, 21, 32 and 25, while the supplementary numbers were 31 and 39.
