A Cairns woman has confessed she can’t wait to take her foot off the peddle and work a little less after winning more than $1.4 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Far North Queenslander held one of the 14 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4363 on Saturday 13 May 2023. His total prize was $1,428,571.43.
“I’m still in shock! I can’t believe it!” she yelled after an official from The Lott had confirmed her windfall.
“I’ve worked so hard for so long!
“I’m going to quit one of my jobs, how about that!
“Oh my god! I feel like a weight has just been lifted from my shoulders.
“It’s tough at the moment. The cost of living just keeps rising, interest rates keep rising, and it’s something that’s a worry for a lot of people.
“This is going to be a huge help. It’s going to change my family’s lives.
“Thank you so much. I can pay of my house!”
Her winning entry was purchased at NewsXpress Cairns Central, Shop 126 Cairns Central Shopping Centre, Level 1, 21 McLeod Street, Cairns.
The NewsXpress Cairns Central team said they were over the moon for their winning customer and wished them all the best for the future.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4363 on 13 May 2023 were 33, 23, 24, 36, 22 and 6, while the supplementary numbers were 18 and 34.
Across Australia, there were 14 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4363 – four each in Western Australia and New South Wales and three each in Queensland and Victoria.
