A Central Coast man is planning to pop open a bottle of champagne to toast his new millionaire status after winning division one in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The New South Wales player held one of the five division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 4161, drawn Saturday 5 June 2021. Each entry won a division one prize of $1,172,770.07.
Confirming the life-changing news with an official from The Lott this morning, the New South Wales player explained he’d made the exciting discovery last night with his wife.
“Oh my god!” he laughed.
“I didn’t sleep last night. I couldn’t believe it!
“This will help us so much.
“We checked our online account last night, and we started laughing and cheering and crying!
“It was just unbelievable.
“It’s so exciting. I’m still shaking!
“We’re going to pop a bottle of champagne tonight for sure.”
With more than $1 million about to hit his bank account, the newly-minted millionaire said the win would set the family up for life.
“We will pay off our mortgage to begin with,” he explained.
“And we will invest some of it and put some aside for our children.
“We’re going to keep working, but this will help so much!”
His life-changing 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4161 on Saturday 5 June 2021 were 24, 33, 44, 1, 11 and 32 while the supplementary numbers were 20 and 35.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4161 – two in New South Wales and one from Queensland, ACT, and South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 194 so far this calendar year, including 50 won by New South Wales customers.
