A Queanbeyan resident or visitor has become a newly-minted millionaire in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, but first, they need to check their ticket and discover their life-enhancing $1.4 million prize.
The Southern Tablelands region player held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4595, drawn Saturday 2 August 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $1,428,571.43.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their newfound fortune.
Instead, officials from The Lott are eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
The winning entry was purchased at Karabar Newsagency, Karabar Shopping Mall, Shop 6, 6-8 Southbar Road & Cooma Road, Queanbeyan.
Karabar Newsagency manager Mara shared she was over the moon to have sold a division one winning ticket and had no doubt the winning news would spark excitement and hope in the local community.
“That’s amazing! Just great news to start our week,” she cheered.
“I’m just over the moon to hear we’ve sold a division one winning ticket and I really hope it’s a local who has won.
“It’s an absolute priviledge to be of service to our local community and I can’t contain my excitement.
“Selling a division one winning ticket makes the experience real for us and our customers. It’s going to spark excitement and hope in our town.
“We wish our mystery player happiness and enjoyment with their prize!"
The Lott spokesperson Eliza Wregg said she hoped the region’s latest division one winner checked their ticket and discovered their hefty windfall soon.
“Someone is most likely walking around completely oblivious to the fact they became an overnight millionaire in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw,” she said.
“We’re encouraging anybody who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket from Karabar Newsagency to check their ticket as soon as possible.
“Can you imagine how exhilarating it would be to discover you were the newly-minted millionaire we’re searching for. Someone’s plans for the rest of 2025 and beyond could change in a heartbeat.
“Make sure you check your tickets, and if you do discover that you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4595 on 2 August 2025 were 24, 40, 42, 21, 45 and 1 while the supplementary numbers were 16 and 9.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4595 – two each in New South Wales and Western Australia, and one each in Queensland, Vicotria, and Tasmania.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 258 so far in 2025, including 68 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In 2024, Saturday Lotto created 149 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 316 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $400.2 million.
