One Wetherill Park Saturday Lotto player became a newly-minted millionaire on the weekend after winning division one – they just don’t know it yet.
The Sydney player held one of the five division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 4197, drawn Saturday 9 October 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $1,234,399.86.
However, the winning entry is unregistered, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news. Instead, they’re waiting for the ticketholder to come forward to claim their prize.
So far in 2021, there have been 11 division one wins in Southern Sydney collectively worth more than $15.3 million.
The winning entry was purchased at Wetherill Park Newsagency, Shop 15 Wetherill Park Market Town, 1024 The Horsley Drive, Wetherill Park.
Wetherill Park Newsagency owner Ly Vo said he hoped his division one winner discovered the thrilling news soon so they could begin to enjoy life as a millionaire.
“How exciting! This is the first time our store has sold a Saturday Lotto division one winning entry,” he said.
“We’ve sold a division one winning share in a syndicate before, but this is the first division one winning entry in a Saturday Lotto draw.
“We will decorate our store to the nines to celebrate this momentous occasion and share this exciting news with all of our customers.
“Hopefully, this winner checks their ticket in store so we can share in this excitement. We are over the moon for them and would love to congratulate them.
“It’s certainly been a tough few years, so we are very happy for our customer and we hope they get to enjoy their win exactly the way they always dreamed.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4197 on 9 October 2021 were 22, 40, 24, 18, 42 and 34, while the supplementary numbers were 37 and 19.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4197 – two each from Queensland and New South Wales and one from Tasmania.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 354 so far this calendar year, including 105 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, Saturday Lotto created 174 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 341 division one winning in Saturday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $435.21 million.
