As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the south-east Melbourne local’s System 7 marked entry also scored division two 6 times, division five 4 times and division six 3 times, bolstering his total prize to $423,991.03.

Sharing his excitement with a Tatts official this morning, the jolly man recounted how he discovered the life-changing news.

“I’d just got out of bed yesterday and decided to check my ticket on the app,” he explained.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw it! I thought ‘fantastic! I’ll be able to pay off those bills!’.

“I play TattsLotto every week, always with the same numbers.

“I’ve been playing the numbers for years!

“They are a mix of birthdays and anniversaries and things like that.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the overjoyed winner revealed he already had a few things in mind.

“The first thing I’ll do is pay off a few bills but then I am going to start looking for a unit to buy,” he declared.

“I always want to take my family on an overseas holiday. It’s been a while since we’ve all be away together, so a trip is definitely on the list!”

The happy man also shared his plans for celebrating the life-changing win.

“I won’t believe it until the money is in my bank account, so I won’t celebrate until then,” he explained.

“Once I see it in my bank account, I’ll take my wife and kids out to dinner!”

The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his marked System 7 entry at Mt Waverley Lotto, 275 Stephensons Road, Mount Waverley.

Mt Waverley Lotto owner Buntheang Tan said he was surprised and excited when he first heard his outlet had sold a division one winning entry.

“My outlet has sold fifteen division on winning entries since 1974, with the last in September 2015,” he explained.

“I am very excited to have sold another one.

“I can’t wait to tell all of my customers the good news. We’re sure they will be as excited as us and hope that the winner’s good luck rubs off on them.

“Congratulations to our winner. I am very happy and very excited for him. I hope that he enjoys the winning experience!”
