An Underdale man initially thought his eyes were deceiving him when he scratched a sensational $100,000 top prize win on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

The top prize-winning $5 Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at OTR Underdale, 282 Henley Beach Road, Underdale.

An official from The Lott reached out to the winning South Australian who had just returned from claiming his prize from The Lott headquarters.

“I thought I was dreaming! I couldn’t believe it!” he laughed.

“This is the most I’ve ever won in my entire lifetime.

“I normally buy two Instant Scratch-Its tickets, but I decided to only buy one this time.

“I finally sat down to scratch the ticket yesterday morning, and I couldn’t believe it.

“I thought I was seeing things!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his instant windfall, the regular player shared he would share the love and generously give some to family members.

“Some of the winnings will go to immediate family members, and then I’ll treat myself with whatever is left over!” he exclaimed.

“My day, week and even year have been made!”

OTR Underdale spokesperson Khalil Shahin said the team was so excited to see one of their customers win.

“We’ve been celebrating at the outlet and telling everyone we’ve sold a major Instant Scratch-Its prize,” he said.

“Lots of people have been thrilled to hear that one of our customers has won a top prize. Everyone’s hoping it is them next time!

“Congratulations to our winner! We wish him all the very best with their prize.”

In 2022, there were 141 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across The Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $15.16 million in top prizes.
