An Earlwood man cooking a salmon fillet for lunch has been pleasantly interrupted with the delectable news of his $100,000 Lucky Lotteries win, which left him reeling from excitement.

The south-western Sydney resident held the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10539, drawn Monday 14 March 2022.

This morning an official from The Lott called the chirpy man who was completely oblivious to the revelation of his win.

“You’re joking! Truly? Truly? Is this a scam?” he cheered.

“That’s mental! Oh gee. I’ve never won so much in my entire life. The most I’ve won is a thousand dollars.

“I’m in the middle of attempting to cook salmon, I don’t really cook, and I’ve been teaching myself in recent times. Maybe this is fate, and I should cook more!

“I’m feeling a bit dizzy right now. This is so overwhelming, but in the best way possible. Will I be able to finish cooking my lunch? This has blown me out.

“I can’t wait to tell some of my family members – it’s so exciting. Some of them live overseas and they’re really doing it tough with COVID. I’d love to help them out with the prize. It’s a priority.

“I might even go overseas myself and enjoy a holiday. Maybe look at renovating my kitchen or bathroom? Who knows!

“My mate and I like to go out and have a ball, so I should definitely celebrate with him.

“Wow! Thank you”

His life-enhancing entry of three random numbers was purchased at Earlwood Newsagency, 359 Homer Street, Earlwood.

Earlwood Newsagency owner Wen Zhu said he is feeling elated to have sold a 1st Prize winning entry to a local customer.

“Not only is it wonderful to have sold a 1st Prize winning entry, but it’s great knowing it went to a customer who continuously supports us.

“Congratulations to him and we wish him all the very best!”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $7.97 million for draw 1564, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $8.96 million for draw 10540.

In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
