A $100,000 Lucky Lotteries windfall means the new year is looking up for an Elanora woman who was stood down from her flight-attendant job of 22 years at the beginning of the pandemic.
The Gold Coast woman scored the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10512, drawn Monday 20 December 2021.
Straight after the draw, an official from The Lott called the elated woman, who was left on cloud nine by the revelation of her windfall.
“You’re joking! Oh, my goodness! I’m beyond speechless!” she happily cried.
“I’m sitting in a car park, and I can’t speak! Are you serious? You’ve just made my day. No, my entire life!
“I haven’t worked in 22 months since I was stood down as a flight attendant. I’ve been through hell and back.
“My husband is a fly-in, fly-out worker, and we decided it would be best if he worked during the Christmas period to save money. He was supposed to come home tomorrow.
“I was going to be alone this Christmas, but now he can come home! This is a Christmas miracle.
“I’m incredibly grateful. You never expect to receive these types of phone calls. I’ve always wondered what it’s like.
“I can’t thank you enough! I don’t know what to say.”
“I recently celebrated a milestone birthday and my beautiful best friend had gifted me a lavish bottle of champagne.
“It’s been sitting in my cupboard because I’ve been too afraid to open it! I think tonight’s the night to open it up and celebrate.”
Her winning entry of two random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $5.80 million for draw 1555, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $5.44 million for draw 10513.
