An Epping man has spent the night planning how he is going to spend a spare $200,000, after discovering he won the 1st Prize in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1453, drawn Wednesday 2 October 2019.
Speaking with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon, the happy man admitted the news had come as a shock.
“I found out last night. I checked the app and I thought ‘okay, wow that is a big win’,” he laughed.
“I was shocked! It’s such great news.
“I told my wife and she did not believe me. She said, ‘you better not be pulling my leg’.
“Once she realised I wasn’t joking she was very excited.
“We’ve been pinching ourselves ever since.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the stoked bloke said he’d spent all night thinking about it.
“We went out last night to a fine dining restaurant to celebrate,” he explained.
“We spent hours thinking about how we will spend our prize.
“We’ve decided we’d like to do a big trip to Europe and save the rest.”
The happy man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of one number online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $2.44 million for draw 1454 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.92 million for draw 10319.
