A Forster man is looking forward to ‘laying around like a lounge lizard’ in Fiji after scoring $200,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

The Central Coast resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1309, drawn Monday 13 May 2019.

As well as winning the guaranteed 1st Prize, the man also won a consolation prize of $2,000, bolstering his total win to $202,000.

Sharing his joy with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the happy man revealed the win had come as a shock.

“I’m very happy! It’s a great surprise!” he exclaimed.

“I didn’t know I had won anything until my wife went to check my tickets. She came back and said ‘I think you’ve won something’.

“I couldn’t believe it!

“I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries since about 2011 but I’ve never won anything like this.

“I’ve won a few little things but it’s all been leading up to this. Hopefully you are calling me again soon with the $66 million jackpot!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his Lucky Lotteries windfall the stoked bloke confessed he was eying off a tropical holiday.

“I’ll probably give some to my family and help my daughter pay off her mortgage,” he explained.

“I’m fortunate that I am comfortable and don’t need anything so I’d rather see her have it and benefit from the win.

“Apart from that, I am going to take it easy. I think a holiday will be on the cards.

“I’m going to head to Fiji and lay around like a lounge lizard!”

The thrilled man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of five consecutive numbers at Tull’s Newsagency, Shop 1, 32 Wharf Street, Forster.

Tull’s Newsagency owner Lyn Tull said it was very exciting to hear her outlet had sold a winning entry.

“We are very pleased for our customer. It is a life-changing experience for them and we are very happy that a winner came to our beautiful beachside area!” she exclaimed.

“We have celebrated the win by telling all of our customers we sold a major prize on our Facebook page and putting signage up in store. It has created a lot of excitement in the store.

“Our customers have been thrilled and encouraged by the win. It has been quite a talking point as it has given them hope they will also be winners.

“We haven’t sold a big winner for some time so it’s quite exciting!

“Our heartfelt congratulations to our winner! May you enjoy your life-changing win!”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $66.76 million for draw 1325 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.28 for draw 10291.
