A syndicate of four retail workers have spent a week celebrating after they cashed in a division one prize worth over $1 million in a recent TattsLotto draw.

The Melbourne locals held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4023, drawn Saturday 8 Februrary 2020 and take home a division one prize of $1,104,264.47.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the syndicate’s winning entry also scored them division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering their total prize to $1,117,167.92.

Confirming the win with an official from the Lott, the syndicate leader explained the delay in coming forward to claim their prize.

“It’s great news! There are four of us in the syndicate and we all work together!” she exclaimed.

“They all knew that we had won for the past week but I’ve been on holidays with no mobile reception.

“It wasn’t until I landed at the airport that I got the message we had won, so I came straight into work to celebrate with them and confirm the prize!

“They’ve been celebrating all week so it’s great we can now celebrate together!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her share of the windfall, the loving grandmother said she was looking forward to spoiling her family.

“I’ll be giving some to my kids and grandkids!” she laughed.

“The others have said they will use their share to do up their homes and buy a new car.

“There are lots of exciting things happening with our win!”

The syndicate members, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their entry of two System 8 entries at Noble Park News & Tatts, 21-22 Douglas Street, Noble Park.

Noble Park News & Tatts owner Tanya Shang said she was thrilled to discover her outlet had sold a division one winning entry.

“We were very surprised and excited when we found out!” she exclaimed.

“We are so happy for the winners.

“This is the first time we’ve sold a division one winning entry since taking over the business two years ago.

“The shop has been here for over 60 years so it has sold plenty during its time.

“Our customers think our shop brings them luck and we always say that positive thinking like that is how you win – you never know when it’s going to happen.

“Congratulations to our winners! We wish them all the best!”
