A Helensvale man’s decision to get rid of the spare change in his car has paid dividends after scratching away at his Instant Scratch-Its ticket to reveal he’d won $10,000.
The top prize winning $1 Lucky Clover Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at newsXpress Oxenford, Shop 6, Oxenford Village, 2 Cottonwood Place, Oxenford.
Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the winning man said he’d only played Instant Scratch-It’s a handful of times and was absolutely stoked with the win.
“I thought, ‘why not,’ and grabbed a bunch of coins that were sitting in my car and before I knew it, I was holding a $10,000 ticket,” he proclaimed.
“Having never really won anything before, I raced back to the newsagent to get it scanned again, just to make sure it was real.
“It was the last ticket I bought too!
“I’ve never really played Instant Scratch-Its before either, but I might play a little bit more in the future.
“My car needs a few repairs so it will get some much-needed attention, then I’ll celebrate with friends and family in the next couple of weeks.”
The newsXpress Oxenford team are thrilled for their winner and wish him all the best with her prize.
