A generous Woodend man had his morning routine interrupted today by a life-changing phone call declaring him a millionaire from winning division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Central Highlands man held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3951, drawn Saturday 1 June 2019. Each winner takes home a division one prize of $1,292,118.57.
When a Tatts official made contact with the man this morning, he revealed he was on his way out the door to pick up the morning paper.
“I didn’t expect to hear that news at all!” he exclaimed.
“I tell you what! It feels terrific to hear I am now a millionaire.
“The news is just very, very good. How much was it again? It is just excellent.
“I’ve been playing these numbers since TattsLotto started. I just chose the numbers at random back then.
“I’ve won a few division three and division two prizes but it feels very, very good to have scored division one.
“I’ll definitely keep playing. Don’t worry about that!
“In fact I was just heading down to the newsagency now to pick up the paper!”
When asked how he planned to spend his TattsLotto windfall, the thrilled winner confessed his beloved family were at the top of this Lotto List.
“I will probably give it to my family,” the generous man revealed.
“There will be something for myself in there too. Probably a holiday but I am not sure where yet. I’ll have to see where the wind takes me.
“I might have to do something to celebrate with the kids. They probably won’t believe me when I tell them I’ve won!”
The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 12-game marked entry at Woodend Newsagency, 101 High Street, Woodend.
Woodend Newsagency owner Darren Cahill said his team were excited to have sold their first division one winning entry in ten years.
“We’ve sold three division one winning entries over the past 25 years but it has been about ten years since our last division one win,” he explained.
“We’ll be sharing the news with our customers and they will be so excited and amazed to hear we’ve sold a winner.
“We are so excited for our winner and we hope they do something great with their prize.
“Having been in this business for 15 years, it is nice to give back to someone who is a regular customer of Woodend Newsagency.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3951 on Saturday 1 June 2019 were 25, 20, 6, 9, 27 and 31, while the supplementary numbers were 36 and 2.
Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 3951, two from Victoria and one from South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 150 so far this calendar year, including 71 won by Tatts customers.
