A husband and wife who each purchased a syndicate share into the weekend’s TattsLotto draw are celebrating their double division one win this morning after their entries scored them $401,446.85 each.

The store syndicate was one of the five division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 3949, drawn 25 May 2019. Each entry won a division one prize of $790,203.64.

In addition to winning division one, the syndicate’s marked System entry also won division three 12 times, division four 15 times, division five 4 times and division six 2 times bolstering the syndicate’s total prize to $802,893.69.

The husband and wife each take home $401,446.85.

Speaking with a Tatts official this morning to confirm their wins, the husband recounted how he and his wife came to hold two shares of the same syndicate.

“Both my wife and I like playing lottery games and usually I would buy a QuickPick and she might buy online,” he explained.

“When I went out to put this ticket on, my wife told me to get one for her so I bought one of the syndicate shares for me and one of the shares for her!”

When asked how he planned to spend his share of the syndicate prize, the happy winner said it would go a long way to helping to pay his children's education fees.

“I’ve got one child at university interstate and one about to start university next year,” he explained.

“This will go a long way towards helping pay for that.

“We’ll also use some towards paying off our house!”

The two shares in the store syndicate were sold at The Glen Tatts Kiosk, Shop K002, The Glen, 235 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley.

The Glen Tatts Kiosk owner Leo To said it was amazing news to hear that his outlet had sold another division one winning syndicate.

“It was the first time we had run this syndicate and it was nicknamed ‘Magic Money’. It certainly was magic for our customers!

“We will be celebrating in store this week and will be setting up more store syndicates for our customers in the hopes we have more success.

“We have sold five shares of division one winning syndicates over three and a half years. The last was in March last year.

“We would like to congratulate our winners and we wish them all the best!

“We feel lucky to have been a part of this life-changing moment. It brings us great joy to see happiness in our customers.”
