A Gayndah man has his friend to thank for tipping him off to the fact he had won $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries draw.
The North Burnett resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10733, drawn Friday 18 November 2022.
“This is excellent! I’ve never won this much in my life!” he exclaimed when confirming his win with an official from The Lott.
“It’s going to be a great day.
“I can’t believe I’ve started the week like this!
“A friend of mine told me, ‘Someone’s bought a ticket at the newsagency and won $100,000, I reckon it’s you,’ and low and behold he was right.
“I can’t wait to tell him!
“I’ll pop some champagne and share it around and look at buying a new car.
“What a day! Thank you so much.”
The winning entry of one random number was purchased at Gayndah Newsagency, 27 Capper Street, Gayndah.
Gayndah Newsagency team member Renee McGilvery said the team was ecstatic to see a regular customer win a major prize.
“We’ve been decorating the store and sharing the amazing news with our customers,” she said.
“It feels fantastic to have sold a winning entry!
“We want to wish our winner all the best for the future and hope they celebrate this incredible occasion.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.48 million for draw 1599, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $1.54 million for draw 10734.
In FY22, 169 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
