After being surprised by a $2.5 million win in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, a Glenorie mum declared there’s something she wouldn’t be doing to celebrate her good fortune – cleaning the house.
The Sydney winner held one of the eight division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4605 on Saturday 6 September 2025. Each division one winning entry scored $2.5 million.
“Holy sh**! Holy sh**! Oh my god!” the woman exclaimed when her win was revealed by an official from The Lott yesterday morning.
“I’m shaking!
“This is the best day ever!
“This is incredible. I’m not cleaning the house today!
“I don’t always play religiously, but when the big draws come around, I grab a ticket. I could never work out what numbers to choose, so I just go for a QuickPick.
“This will pay off the mortgage, help the kids and all the things coming up, and we can plan a holiday overseas we’ve been wanting to do for a while – we might even look at upgrading the flights.
“It’s unbelievable! This is the best call.
“I’ll have to go tell the family!”
The woman’s winning 36-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4605 on 6 September 2025 were 43, 6, 21, 10, 42 and 16, while the supplementary numbers were 23 and 36.
Across Australia, there were eight division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4605 – three each in New South Wales and Victoria, and one each in Queensland and Tasmania.
