An Avondale Heights couple will be spending their lockdown planning a global holiday of a lifetime after scoring an $856,000 division one prize in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The happy winners held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4067, drawn Saturday 11 July 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $856,213.56.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the thrilled duo’s marked 12-game entry also scored division five, bolstering their total prize to $856,236.61.

When an official from the Lott broke the news to the winners this morning, they confessed they had been entirely oblivious to the news.

“What?! Oh my god! Wow! Oh my god! I can’t believe it! I cannot believe it!” the wife exclaimed.

“We’ve been playing these same numbers since we got married! We’ve never won anything big! I’ve just about had a heart attack!” the husband added.

“This is the best phone call we’ve ever had. Life-changing is the only way to describe it.”

After they had recovered from the shock of the news, the happy wife revealed how they came to hold the winning numbers.

“We’ve been playing the same numbers every week for thirty years,” she explained.

“They are just random numbers we chose years ago, and every week I just say ‘play them again’.

“It’s just absolutely fantastic! Our numbers have finally come up. It feels amazing!

“It means so much to us. It will really change our lives. This is the best news ever!”

When asked how they planned to enjoy their division one windfall, the thrilled woman said she was eager to plan an unforgettable holiday.

“We always said if we won the lottery, we’d go on a round-the-world trip!” she confessed.

“While that might have to wait for a bit we’ll be doing some planning while in lockdown.

“We’ll also be able to pay off the mortgage. We’ll be mortgage-free and then some.

“It’s a great feeling!”
