A Gladstone woman has discovered a major lottery win can come with unusual side effects after her $1.6 million win in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw left her feeling queasy.
The chirpy Queenslander held one of three division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4523, drawn Saturday 23 November 2024 and pocketed a total prize of $1,642,087.17.
When an official from The Lott called to confirm the life-changing news, the gleeful mother couldn’t contain her excitement as she shared her plans to celebrate with loved ones.
“Thank you very much!” she said.
“I don’t know how to feel. I sort of feel sick but it’s a good sickness, like I’m sick with excitement and happiness.
“If I was there, I’d give you a big hug!
“My husband checked the ticket yesterday and we’ve been in shock ever since. I think we checked it about 50 times after that.
“This has come at such a great time. It’s going to help us so much.
“We can’t wait to surprise the whole family and pay the love forward.”
The winning marked 8-game entry was purchased from TSG Boyne Island, Shop 3 Boyne Plaza, 3 Centenary Drive, Boyne Island.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4523 on 23 November 2024 were 3, 40, 25, 17, 42 and 6, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 28.
Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4523 – one each in Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 396 so far in 2024, including 72 won by Golden Casket customers.
