When a Tatts official spoke to the winner this afternoon to confirm the life-changing news, the happy man confessed he initially thought the notification email was a scam.
“Thank you! That feels really good to hear you confirm the news!” he exclaimed.
“I never thought I’d win this kind of money!
“I didn’t believe it when I saw it in my account. When I received the email, I thought it was a scam.
“It took me a minute to double check and confirm everything. I went online and checked the draw numbers to see if I really had won.
“But I have! It’s really good news!”
The regular player confessed he often added a Lucky Lotteries ticket when buying another entry.
“I’ve been playing the game since it was introduced and whenever I bought any other lottery ticket I’d always throw a Lucky Lotteries ticket in there too,” he explained.
