The team at Virginia Lotteries Kiosk are celebrating selling their third major prize in just four months after one of their customers scored one of the top prizes of $10,000 on a $1 Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

The win comes just four months after the outlet sold two Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1st Prizes, each worth $200,000 in April.

However, how the latest winner plans to spend their $10,000 instant windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

The winning prize was purchased at Virginia Lotteries Kiosk, Shop 2a Virginia Shopping Centre, Old Port Wakefield Road, Virginia.

Virginia Lotteries Kiosk owner Paul Pogas said he was thrilled to have sold a hat-trick of major prize wins.

“It’s fantastic that another one of our customers has walked away with a major prize!” he exclaimed.

“We’ve had a bit of a run of major prize wins this year and we hope that the streak continues with many more of our customers scoring major prizes in the near future.

“Congratulations to our winner! We wish them all the best with their prize!”

From overseas holidays to Dyson vacuum cleaners, SA Lotteries spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said top prize Instant Scratch-Its winners often used their prizes in lots of surprising ways.

“While we don’t know how the latest Instant Scratch-Its top prize winner plans to treat themselves with their winnings, we do know that for many of our winners, seeing that prize in their bank accounts seeds lots of wonderful possibilities,” she said.

“Imagine what you could do with an additional $10,000 in your bank account.  Many winners tell us they use their Instant Scratch-Its top prize to go on overseas holidays, upgrade their car or buy a new gadget, like an IPhone.

“A South Australian woman who won a major prize in January this year said she was going to treat herself to a new pair of shoes, a handbag, a roller door for her garage and cupboards for the laundry.”

Between 1 July 2018 and 30 June 2019, there were 118 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across the Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $12.14 million in top prizes.

During this same time, 4,182,602 winners pocketed more than $214.2 million across all Instant Scratch-Its prize tiers.
