A single mum from Hobart can’t wait to say goodbye to renting and purchase her very first home after winning more than $1 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
There were five division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 4197, drawn Saturday 9 October 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $1,234,399.86.
So far in 2021, there have been 14 division one wins in Tasmania collectively worth more than $17.51 million.
When an official from The Lott called the latest Apple Isle winner, she explained she’d only recently started playing TattsLotto.
“Oh my god! Really?” she cried happily.
“What the hell! I’m a millionaire?
“Oh my! Are you sure? This is so crazy.
“This is the best day ever! It’s absolutely amazing.
“I never imagined this would happen to me! It’s incredible.
“I only just started buying these tickets. I never play lottery games! I don’t even know what type of ticket I bought! It’s crazy.
“This is so overwhelming. My family just rocked up to my house too, and they are all crying. They are so happy for me.
“This is absolutely massive. I am a single mum, and I have been doing it tough, so this really is life-changing.
“How am I going to go to work today knowing I am a millionaire? I think I will take the day off!
“It’s unreal. Holy sh**!”
The emotional woman explained the prize was a game-changer for her family.
“I am going to buy a house. I never thought I’d own my own house,” she wept.
“I want to go on some family holidays, and we could really use a new car.
“I’ll share some with my family and spoil my kids, too.
“Our whole family was already planning to go out for dinner tonight, so now it will be a big celebration.”
Her winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4197 on 9 October 2021 were 22, 40, 24, 18, 42 and 34, while the supplementary numbers were 37 and 19.
