A Hornsby player is likely spending the day celebrating after discovering they won $800,000 in last week’s Wednesday Lotto draw.
The mystery winner held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4067, drawn Wednesday 7 April 2021. Each entry takes home a division one prize worth $800,000.
Although the winning entry was registered to a Players Club card, officials from The Lott were unable to reach out to the winner on the contact details provided and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
Today, the winner checked their ticket and discovered they were the mystery winner The Lott officials had been searching for.
However, how they plan to spend their windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The life-changing entry was purchased at Northgate Newsagency, Shop 1033-34 Westfield Shopping Centre, 236 Pacific Hwy, Hornsby.
Northgate Newsagency team member Changsen Wu said he was celebrating making one of his customers a division one winner.
“It’s wonderful news!” he said happily.
“We can imagine how excited the winner was when they discovered they were our mystery division one winner.
“Hopefully, they can do some exciting things with their prize.
“We would love to send our congratulations to our winner.”
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said discovering the life-changing win was sure to put a smile on the mystery winner’s face.
“While we may never know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they are walking around today grinning from ear to ear after discovering their win,” she said.
“Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge a new car.
“However our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling as long as they can.”
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4067 on Wednesday 7 April 2021 were 16, 17, 20, 24, 11 and 10, while the supplementary numbers were 8 and 5.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4067 – two each from Victoria and Western Australia and one from New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 333 so far this financial year, including 88 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In 2020, Monday & Wednesday Lotto created 93 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 101 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won $100 million.
