A Mawson Lakes woman initially thought she’d broken the lottery terminal when she checked her Keno Spot 9 ticket but was delighted to discover it was actually notifying her of her $150,000 win.

The Adelaide resident scored the $150,000 Keno Spot 9 jackpot in draw 221210 278, drawn Saturday 10 December 2022.

An official from The Lott reached out to the winning woman moments after she claimed her joyous prize.

“I was in a bit of shock!” she laughed.

“I wasn’t having the best day, so I decided to put a ticket on and treat myself to a nail manicure.

“After I got my nails done, I went to Woolworths to pick up some groceries and I came back to check my Keno Spot 9 ticket at the local newsagency.

“I thought I broke the lottery machine when I went to scan my ticket because it came up something I’ve never seen before – something out of the ordinary!

“The team member reassured me that I didn’t break the machine and it was actually a $150,000 win! It’s the most I’ve ever won.

“It’s very exciting.”

With $150,000 about to boost her bank account right before Christmas, the South Australian plans to treat her daughter with the prize.

“I’m going to help my daughter with her wedding plans,” she said.

“Thank you so much.”

Her winning entry was purchased at Mawson Central Newsagency, Shop 12 Mawson Central, 9-15 Main Street, Mawson Lakes.

Mawson Central Newsagency owner Liz Dreimann said she couldn’t be happier to have sold a Keno Spot 9 winning entry to a local woman.

“It’s such wonderful news for our newsagency and the local community. With Christmas right around the corner, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect,” she said.

“Congratulations to the woman and we wish her all the best with her prize. Thank you for supporting Mawson Central Newsagency!”
