While an inner-city Brisbane man and a Sydney dad have kicked off the weekend multi-millionaires, a mystery Ipswich shopper has yet to come forward and claim their $50 million-dollar prize.
There were three division one winning entries nationally in Thursday’s record-breaking $150 million Powerball draw 1218, drawn Thursday 19 September 2019 – two from Queensland and one from New South Wales. Each division one winning entry takes home and mind-blowing $50 million.
The three new division one winners join an exclusive club 11 other Australians who have won a Powerball division one prize so far this year.
As the Queensland entry was not registered to a Winners Circle card, officials have no way to contact the ticket holder and have to wait for them to come forward to break that life-changing news.
The Lott officials this morning revealed the third, currently unclaimed division one winning entry was sold at newsXpress Brassall, Shop 16 Brassall Shopping Village, Hunter Street, Brassall.
The winner may be yet to discover their new multi-millionaire status and could be walking around with a ticket worth $50 million in their pocket, wallet or at the bottom of their handbag.
Anyone who purchased an entry into Powerball draw 1218 from newsXpress Brassall is urged to check their ticket immediately.
NewsXpress Brassall owner Devinder Bassie said he was thrilled to discover his outlet had sold the division one prize.
“Oh my god! I can’t believe it!” he exclaimed.
“Everyone has been wondering where it was sold and I can’t wait to let everyone know it was us.
