A Hillbank man who dreamed of sitting in the winner’s lounge at The Lott headquarters had his fantasy come true, thanks to a $300,000 Keno win that landed him there for the ultimate winner’s experience.
The Adelaide resident scored the Keno Spot 9 jackpot in draw 241107 058, drawn Thursday 7 November 2024. The gleeful man took home $300,000.
The winning man admitted he’d been running on barely a wink of sleep since discovering his good fortune.
“I’ve been feeling pretty run down! I can’t say I’ve slept much since winning!” he laughed.
“I couldn’t believe it. I was looking at the draw numbers and I thought, ‘Hang on, they look like mine!’. I was shocked.
“I re-checked it about 10 times, then I called my wife and got her to double-check it too.
“It was magic! It’s going to help more than you know.
“This will pretty much pay off our mortgage! We thought we’d be working until we’re 80 to pay it off but this changes everything,
“A couple of months ago I won $5,000. I went to the The Lott headquarters and I saw the winner’s lounge and I thought, ‘I want to be in there one day’. Now my dream has come true!
“Thank you so much. We’re so grateful.”
The man’s winning Spot 9 entry was purchased from Saints Newsagency Shop 11, Saints Shopping Centre, 83 Saints Road, Salsbury Plain.
Saints Newsagency manager Stella said she and the team were thrilled to sell a winning Keno entry.
“We’re super excited and happy for the winner!” she said.
“I was the one that sold the winning ticket, and I sold another one not long ago. Some customers have called me a lucky charm.
“We’ve sold a few major prizes now. I couldn’t believe it when I saw we had sold another. I had to call my colleague over to check I was seeing it correctly.
“The winner brought us flowers. We couldn’t be happier for him.”
