It might be sunny in Melbourne today, but it’s been raining money for two TattsLotto players who scored division one in the weekend’s draw.

A North Melbourne man and a Cheltenham shopper held two of the 27 division one winning entries across Australia in Tatts Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw, draw 4061 on 20 June 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $740,740.75.

A man’s best friend: North Melbourne man’s golden dreams come true with TattsLotto division one win!

They say a man’s best friend is his dog, and for one North Melbourne man that’s about to be true as he’s finally able to get his dream Golden Retriever after winning division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

Speaking to an official from the Lott today, the Melbourne man relayed the moment he made his exhilarating discovery.

“I scanned my ticket late Saturday night and that’s when I saw I won,” he explained.

“I was so shocked!

“I went and woke up my partner and she was so surprised.

“We just kept saying to each other ‘keep calm, keep calm’. Everyone in the house was asleep, so we couldn’t go too crazy.

“I have been playing for months, hoping for a win, and now it’s happened, it feels very surreal.

“When I saw there was 27 winners, I was so happy! I am glad it was shared between so many people.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the overjoyed man said a long-held dream of his was about to become a reality.

“My partner and I have been heavily impacted by COVID-19, so this win has really come at the very best time,” he shared.

“I have been thinking a lot about how to spend my prize. I think I am going to buy myself a small apartment.

“We’ve been wanting a dog for years as well. We love big dogs, like Golden Retrievers, so we are going to get an apartment with a big backyard so we can actually get one!

“Then I also want to give some money to the Guide Dogs and a few other animal charities that I like.”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Vic Market Lotto, Lot 4, Queen Street, Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne.

Vic Market Lotto owner Dora Vuong said she was ecstatic for her winner.

“How exciting,” she said.

“We found out on Sunday morning that we sold a division one winning entry and we were so happy.

“We are glad the winner has come forward to claim his prize. He sounds like he is doing some beautiful things with his prize, which is fabulous to hear.

“We wish him all the very best and hope he truly enjoys being a division one winner.

“Everyone says our store is lucky and we certainly feel that way.

“Hopefully some more of our customers can experience the thrill of a major win.”

Winning weekend for Cheltenham’s TattsLotto winner

A Cheltenham player has had an especially thrilling day discovering they scored more than $740,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

How the winner plans to enjoy their windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate their win in private.

The winning entry was purchased at Direct Chemist Outlet Cheltenham, 227 Warrigal Road, Cheltenham.

Cheltenham Pharmacy owner Joseph Moussa said he couldn’t be happier for his winning customer.

“How exciting, it is an awesome win,” he said.

“Our team is almost as excited as the winner must be!

“We’ve been sharing the news with our customers and they are so happy for us. They hope to be the next to score division one.
