A Globe Derby Park woman has left the shops with more than her usual groceries after her routine retail run scored her an unexpected $50,000 Keno win.

The Adelaide resident scored the Keno Spot 8 jackpot in draw 240704 849, drawn Thursday 4 July 2024, and took home $50,000.

“I’m very good!” she laughed when speaking to an official from The Lott.

“I generally play a couple of games when I go shopping and I check it when I get home.

“It’s funny, I was sitting with my husband and I’m going, ‘Wait a second! I’ve got eight numbers! I’ve got all eight!’. He’s going ‘Show me! Show me!’.

“It still hasn’t sunk in for us.

“I actually won $8,000 about a year and a half ago. Not bad but $50,000 is even nicer!”

When asked how she planned to use her Keno prize , the winning woman shared she had already had some celebratory takeaway but would need some time to let the win sink in before deciding on anything else.

“Well, we decided to get some takeaway for dinner. We had hot chips,” she laughed.

“I’m not sure exactly what else we’ll do. I’ll think about it, but I know it’ll come in handy.”

The winning entry was purchased from Paralowie Plaza Lottery Kiosk, Shop 9a, 337 Whites Road, Paralowie.
