A Loftus man is ready to set off an Aussie adventure of a lifetime after today discovering he is more than $100,000 richer from winning the 1st Prize in the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The happy man won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10249, drawn on Tuesday 2 October 2018.
As well as winning the guaranteed 1st Prize, the man’s entry also scored two consolation prizes of $1,000, bolstering his total win to $102,000.
Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official today to confirm his prize, the adventurous man admitted the news of his win had made his day.
“Gosh, isn’t that lovely?” he admitted cheerfully.
“My word, it has really made my day!
“Thanks very much! Oh that is just fantastic!
“I am feeling very, very excited!
“I never really thought it would happen to me, I can tell you that.
“I have been buying tickets for years and years, but this is the first time I have ever won anything decent.
“You always read about it happening, but you never think it’s going to happen to you.”
The man shared his win had reignited his desire for adventure.
“The kids are coming over tonight so I will break the news to them and then celebrate with a couple of bottles of champagne,” he said.
“This is great! I will be able to help all of my kids.
“We have travelled overseas quite a bit! Now we can finally buy a campervan and set off on adventure and travel all around Australia. That’s the dream!”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two consecutive numbers at Loftus Newsagency, 107 Loftus Avenue, Loftus.
Loftus Newsagency manager David Zhu said he was thrilled his outlet had delivered a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot 1st Prize win to one of his customers.
“It is great, very exciting!” he admitted.
“We were due for a big win. We hope to deliver more wins to our customers.
“We are glad to have made one of our customers $102,000 richer!"
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $21.64 million for draw 1137 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $500,000 for draw 10250.
