A pair of Aspendale Gardens grandparents are planning on spoiling their kids and grandkids after taking home an $856,000 division one prize in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The happy winners held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4067, drawn Saturday 11 July 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $856,213.56.
Sharing their joy with an official from the Lott this morning, the winners recounted how they discovered the life-changing news.
“I’m still excited even though I discovered the news yesterday lunchtime!” the happy husband exclaimed.
“When I checked the ticket, I wasn’t sure if I saw it right. I thought maybe I had made a mistake.
“I’ve been playing those same numbers for years and years. They are just numbers I chose at random so nothing really special, but I’ve been playing them for a long, long time.
“I play them every week, but I’ve never won division one although I have come close.
“A few years ago, I was just one supplementary number off winning division two!
“I’m so happy my numbers have come up!”
When asked how they planned to enjoy their life-changing windfall, the happy duo declared they were eager to help their beloved family.
“We’ve got a great family of children and grandchildren so we will share it with them,” the man revealed.
“We want to help our children out as much as we can.
“We want to go away on a holiday when we can too.
“It’s a very nice feeling knowing we have this money coming our way.”
The regular players, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning entry at Aspendale Gardens News & Lotto, Shop 17 Aspendale Garden Centre, Corner of Narelle Drive and Kearny Road, Aspendale Gardens.
Aspendale Gardens News & Lotto owner Nary Sea said it had been a very exciting morning in her store.
“We’re so happy and so excited that our customers have won!” she exclaimed.
“We’ve sold six division one winning entries in the past, but this is the first one this year!
“Hopefully there are many more to come. These things sometimes happen in three’s, so we are hoping this is the first of three for the year.
“We’ve been decorating the store and telling all of our customers. They always tell us we are a lucky store, so I’m sure they are hoping they win a major prize next.
“We are so happy for our customers and are very excited for them! We wish them all the best!”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4067 [youtube.com] on Saturday 11 July 2020 were 38, 22, 27, 26, 32 and 29, while the supplementary numbers were 30 and 42.
Across Australia, there was six division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4067 – four from Victoria and two from Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 205 so far this calendar year, including 80 won by Tatts customers.
Between 1 January and 31 December 2019, there were 289 division one winning TattsLotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $333.41 million.
