A Maitland mum who always told her kids she’d win Saturday Lotto one day has been vindicated by her $250,000 prize on the weekend.

The Hunter region player held one of the 20 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4565, drawn Saturday 19 April 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $255,096.86.

“I’m in shock!” the winner exclaimed when her prize was confirmed by an official from The Lott.

“My husband checked the ticket.

“I turned around and the look on his face, and I thought, ‘what’s happened?’. He said, ‘you’ve won $250,000 on Lotto!’.

“I thought, ‘That can’t be right!’.

“I’ve always said to the kids, I’ll win Lotto. And now I have!

“I’ve been playing these numbers for about eight or nine years.

“This will just make life easier for us. And I’ll get a new phone for my husband.

“I’ve got everything I want in life – and this just makes it a bloody beautiful one.”

The woman’s winning marked 18-game entry was purchased at East Maitland News & Gifts, Shop 3, 127-129 Lawes Street, East Maitland.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4565 on 19 April 2025 were 28, 10, 44, 21, 19 and 14, while the supplementary numbers were 33 and 23.

Across Australia, there were 20 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4565 – six in Queensland, five in Victoria, two each in New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia and one in the Northern Territory.
