A Mid North Coast man has revealed he thought he was seeing things when he discovered he won $200,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1227, drawn Tuesday 19 February 2019. The man’s entry also won a consolation prize of $2,000, boosting his total win to $202,000.
Confirming his good fortune with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon, the winner recalled how he discovered his unexpected windfall.
“I checked my entry online last night, but I thought I must be seeing things. I didn’t actually think I could be the winner,” he explained.
“I really thought there must have been a mistake.
“But wow! It feels pretty good to hear that I wasn’t just seeing things!”
The thrilled man explained he’d been playing Lucky Lotteries every now and then as he watched the jackpot soar.
“I usually play Lucky Lotteries sporadically but because the jackpot is now beyond $43 million I’ve been playing more often,” he shared.
“I’ve won about $100 before but this is by far the biggest and most exciting prize.
“I’ve been looking at caravans and I might even buy myself a caravan and travel around Australia.
“I have seen a lot of this incredible country but there’s always more to explore!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at newsXpress Forster, Shop 120, Stockland Forster, Breese Parade, Forster.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $43.72 million for draw 1229 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $3.49 million for draw 10273.
